Goldy's Villa

February is a cold month of the year! It is also a month of renovations for Goly's Villa, mainly because there are not many bookings at this time of year. So we prefer to move and deal with everything that needs to be done. At the same time we live in the house, (don't forget it is our main house, and we treasure it). The last few days as I said, the weather is very cold but our stove is the best way to have a warm and comfortable environment at home. Air conditioning systems, although present in the house, are not needed.  Today we also cooked at our stove! Lima beans as you already read in the title of this article! Well those weren't from our garden, the carrots, spring onions, fresh fennel were, and we grow a lot in our garden, lima beans not yet!   Our house is open for your holidays all year round and our garden is also available! We prefer to grow seasonal vegetables, so you will find tomatoes and green beans in summer and lettuce and beets in winter. In every season our garden and orchard is our pride! Because what is more beautiful and healthy than a salad plate in the summer with products from our garden, as in the plate in the photo, where only salt is not our production. Tomato, cucumber, pepper, onion, oregano, oil and salt. Have your own in your next vacations!

It is a blessing to go to such a peaceful place! As winter is gone, nature grows and gives the best it can! Today we have the blessing to try some of our garden apricots! Of course, you can have the same experience and most importantly here, in the same place. All you have to do is decide when and contact us! In the meantime we give you a recipe to make apricot jam for some of your best breakfasts at home!             ---Ingredients ---                                                    1.200 g apricots, ripe 30 g water lemon zest, of 1 lemon lemon juice, of 1 lemon 400 g granulated sugar 1 vanilla pod           ---To serve--- slices bread butter thyme ----- TIP ----- Keep in sterile jars in the refrigerator for at least 1 month. ------...

  May has arrived! Nature is reborn and we are so proud that we succeeded! The house in which we lived and raised our children, is ready to welcome people who will spend their holidays there! The renovation of the space started about four months ago and was evolving slowly but steadily! Mainly due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to be careful,  and at the same time to predict everything that would be needed for our customers to have a great holiday experience and a safe and secure protection against the virus. Entries on platforms, registrations in services, legal and accounting procedures were ready from much earlier, but now it was time to paint the walls, clean the space, build and create small or large decorations, repair cabinets or drawers, purchase of clothing and towels, kitchen utensils equipment and many more!
