Carnival in Rethimno
Rethymno Carnival festivities are returning to Rethymno, from January through February 26 . There are plenty of ways that locals and guests are once again able to celebrate the famous Cretan carnival this year. Rethymno Carnival 2023 looks promising as it is one of the biggest cultural winter events in Rethymno and all over Crete. Everyone is looking forward to and waiting to participate in this year's festivities, after three years of absence. Carnival's main parade will be held on Sunday 26 February 2023 In this week's kick-off meeting, a total of 16 out of 37, about half of them which have already registered for participating, will use the costumes of 2020, when the carnival was canceled due to coronavirus, just two days before the main parade.
